Daedalus Touch – Text Editor for iCloud App Reviews

Well, it once was a good app but like so many others now, the devs decided to give it something that looks like a mockup design, following the flat trend dictated by Apple. Wake up folks! It just doesnt look good! You threw your once great design out the window for something that looks like created by a three year old child.

No undo/redo button. Is this really a writers app? I need to shake the iPhone to undo. Its a joke.

If you are looking for a general-purpose text editor for iPad, theres hardly anything better than Daedalus.

Daedalus Touch is still my favourite text editor but it really needs some new features. Automatic synchronisation, import in such formats as .docx or .pdf, maybe some new more advanced editing features. Hope that some noticeable changes will come soon!

Definitely. But there are a few bugs, so 4 stars ;)

And beautiful design, but could you add Russian font?

Please add normal Ulysses support with goals and folders and marks

Its nice, but can you PLEASE add an option to have extra space between paragraphs and folders for stacks?!

Pls, add Russian language and update for iPhone 6, 6+ Need to add album orientation for iPhone 6+... Love this app, dont want to search another for writing((

Please add the way to use stacks without title sheet, only with the text sheets!!! The text sheets already contains titles! I write poems with no title, and it will be good to see the text in the stacks previously, in overview mode.

Text editor stupendo, agile ed efficace.

I had a few docs I was working on, I update to the last version and... I cant work because the app crash at start... Bad!

Congratulation! Despite the dear price (but competitive overall), finally the perfect text editor for ipad! All perfect? Not quite yet. To be completed, it misses: - MARKDOWN PREVIEW!!! You created such a good software and you didnt add an essential feature like this one?? Whats the reason for this limitation? - more MULTI-GESTURE EDITING CONTROL (pinch with two fingers but move only one to select portions of text, like you can do to highlight in iBooks); - MULTI ROWS in the upper side of the virtual keyboard (its already good like it is now, but its very limited in the personalization of the special buttons!); - MERGE TWO OR MORE STACKS, and the same with the sheets (so you can integrate different works together, without the need to export them to do so); Thank you guys, you are already doing great, hope my feedback can help to improve this already very good app! I was happy to support you!

Problem solved with release 1.5.3. Fantastic app! 5 stars if within next 3 months if no other problem shows up. Problem with v.1.5.1 and 1.5.2 If I shut down the app running in background after adding new content on an existing page (within an existin pile) I lose what I added, unless I set on the sync with iCloud. This happens also if I have the sync on only with dropbox or if I set off all sync. Please fix this bug. This problem appeared after the release that added icould as a backup option. Its still there with the last update (1.5.2). Before this problem it was a fantastic app for my work. Problema risolto con la release 1.5.3. È una app fantastica! 5 stelle se nei prossimimmesi non ci saranno altri problemi Problema con la v. 1.5.1 e 1.5.2 Se chiudo app che gira in backgroung dopo aver aggiunto qualcosa ad una pagina esistente (allinterno di una pila esistente) perdo quello che ho aggiunto, a meno che non sia attiva la sincronizzazione con iCloud. Questo succede anche se ho attivano solo la sincronizzazione con dropbox o se disattivo tutte le sincronizzazioni. Perfavore sistemate questo bug. Il problema è comparso dopo laggiornamento che ha aggiunto lopzione di backup con iCloud. Il problema cè ancora dopo lultimo aggiornamento (1.5.2). Prima di questo problema per me era una applicazione fantastica per il mio lavoro.

The app is very reliable and the user can organize sheets ina very useful way. On the other side, the serif font has serious problems with diacritic glyph, spacing and kerning. This turns the reading and writing into a typographic nightmare. I believe that the developer team should redesign the font, and rethink carefully the keyboard. Anyway, a great app.

The assistance is great. They got my iCloud sync with Ulysses III solved after few email. Great job.

Isnt the app supposed to work in iOS v.5, BEFORE v.7. ? meBruce
